Pump and dump is one of the most repeated pieces of advice in breastfeeding culture but it’s also not based on how alcohol actually works. Alcohol doesn’t simply pool in your milk. It moves in and out of your milk the same way it moves in and out of your blood. When your blood alcohol drops, your milk alcohol drops with it.
